Artist Statement
My work involves using momentum, fall, and release to guide a dancer's pathway in movement. I’m interested in how contact improvisation, somatic techniques, and Bertinieff movement principles can be used to understand moving in a solo body and in contact. Using scorework to generate movement is important to my work. I value the process of collaboration while researching movement and making work that aims to investigate connections among each other and to create a deeper understanding of these movement principles and techniques.
